In 2015, Venture Church felt God leading us to Stone County, and in the spring of 2016, we began to "Venture Out" in faith. After hosting two worship experiences at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and launching Growth Groups in the Stone County area, the response was humbling.
God continued making a path into Stone County by providing both a non-permanent and permanent home for the Stone County Campus. The owners of South Elite Cheer in Wiggins graciously allowed their space to become the portable home of Venture Church's third campus. It hosted several worship experiences, and starting Easter Sunday 2017, served as the home of weekly Sunday experiences of The Stone County Campus until the permanent campus was complete.
In the summer of 2016, God allowed Venture Church to purchase a former bowling alley in Wiggins to transform into a permanent campus. The new home of The Stone County Campus opened in the fall of 2017, and God has continued to move and add to His Church. As we grow, we can't wait to see how God continues to use this campus to impact South Mississippi.
Stone County Campus Pastor Tyler Eggers first came to Venture Church in 2015 when he joined the LEAD Team Apprenticeship Program after graduating from William Carey University. Just two years later in 2017, God called Tyler and his wife Nancy to be an integral part of launching Venture’s third campus in Wiggins. Since then, Tyler and Nancy have grown their family, and now have two children, Jordan and Aubrey. On his day off, you can find Tyler on the basketball court playing ball with friends.
