2 Corinthians 9:6-7

Generosity is an act of worship, responding to God’s goodness for all He has done. Generosity is an opportunity to invest in advancing the mission of our church in our communities to lead more people to know, love, and follow Jesus. Be Generous is the way we describe financial giving that goes above and beyond regular tithes. 

 Sunday, November 29, is Be Generous Sunday. When you give above and beyond through Be Generous, every dollar you give will go toward three specific Kingdom causes: missions, launching a new pre-teen ministry, and investing in our campuses!

Give above and beyond to fund three specific Kingdom causes: The Christmas Store, campus upgrades, including the expansion of The Stone County Campus, and the launch of a brand-new preteen ministry, "The Crossing."

The Christmas Store

For many families in our area, ensuring their kids have a memorable Christmas can be a financial burden. As a way to serve these families, through relationships with local schools, each Venture Church Campus will invite selected families in need to shop for their child at the Christmas Store—for free! While gifts are being wrapped, parents will be encouraged and prayed for, leaving with Christmas gifts in tow and a few burdens left behind.

This fall, we will be collecting the items that will stock these Christmas Stores. Check out the shopping list below or pick one up on your campus.

We'll also need volunteers to serve on the day of the Christmas Store to make this unique experience possible. Sign-ups are now open for volunteers!

Campus Expansion & Upgrades

With three full experiences every Sunday, our Stone County Campus has completely maxed out its space—but God’s work there is far from done. We'll repurpose the current 250-seat auditorium into additional kids’ classrooms, and build a new 600-seat auditorium to accommodate future growth. 

In addition, we’re upgrading campuses to create environments that are more welcoming, effective, and ready for the next season of ministry.

What is Be Generous?

Be Generous is the way we describe financial giving that goes above and beyond regular tithes. Generosity is our response to God’s goodness—a posture of gratitude and worship for all He has done. Be Generous is an invitation to invest in what God is doing through our church and in our community to make an eternal impact!

What will "Be Generous" contributions go toward?

At this time, "Be Generous" contributions will go toward three primary special projects. These projects include The Christmas Store; campus upgrades including the much-needed expansion of The Stone County Campus; and launching "The Crossing," a brand-new preteen ministry at all five campuses.

What are ways I can give?

You can give securely at anytime online at venturechurch.org/givenow. You can also give through the Venture Church APP by clicking on the "Be Generous" tab at the bottom. When giving online or through the APP, to ensure your above-and-beyond gift goes toward these special projects, please make your contribution to "Be Generous."

You can also mail a financial gift to Venture Church, Attn: Financial Team, 4142 Lincoln Road, Hattiesburg, MS. In the memo section of your check, please write "Be Generous" to ensure your gift goes toward funding these special projects.

Do you accept stock, assets, or estate gifts?

Yes! For information about non-cash giving (stocks, property, etc.), contact our Finance Team at finance@venturechurch.org.

How do I access my giving statement?

Once you have set up an online account to make a contribution, you can access your annual giving statement through your account. If you have questions, please contact our Finance Team at finance@venturechurch.org.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. All contributions to Venture Church are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
