Welcome to our special Advent edition of the Daily Devos. Every Wednesday through the month of December, we will pause and read together a portion of the Christmas story as we invite you to experience Advent in your own story.
The word advent means “the arrival.” It is a way to look back and celebrate the Son of God coming to earth to be born as a baby in a manger while we also look forward to His second coming when creation will be redeemed and restored.
Each week we will discover a theme or a promise seen in the birth of Jesus that carries us through the “already not yet” as we await the arrival of His eternal Kingdom.
Today, we will look at the promise of HOPE through the story of Elizabeth and Zachariah.
Grab a Bible and turn to Luke 1.

Remember:
- A hope delayed is not a prayer denied because Jesus is our ultimate HOPE.
- Make sure you come back next week as we unpack the gift of JOY through Mary and the promise of Jesus.
