Read Psalms 55-56

Head

In Psalm 55, David talks about feeling worried and upset because others were being unkind to him. He says, “I am troubled and restless” (Psalm 55:4), but he knows that God hears his prayers and will help him. In Psalm 56, David says, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You” (Psalm 56:3). Even when we feel scared or sad, we can trust God to protect and help us.

Heart

When we face tough times, we might feel afraid or alone. But David didn’t stay in his fear—he trusted God with his heart. We can do the same! God loves us and promises to take care of us. How can you trust God with your heart today? Maybe it’s praying when you feel scared or remembering that God is always with you.

Hands

Trusting God means not only praying and believing in our hearts but also showing that trust through what we do. David kept praising God even when things were tough. If you find yourself in a difficult circumstance this week, I challenge you to focus less on the circumstance and more on our Heavenly Father who controls it.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for always being with us, especially when we are scared or sad. Help us trust You with our hearts; may we trust You fully. You are faithful and trustworthy. If You say it, it is done. We believe that and trust that. We know You will always take care of us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
