Read Psalms 111-112

Head

Have you ever stopped to think about how amazing God is? Psalm 111 does just that! Stop for just a minute and look around. The world is full of things God made—animals, trees, the stars, even the air we breathe. God's power and creativity are everywhere. We also know that another amazing quality is that He keeps His promises, loves us, and protects us… He is SO worthy of our praise.

The next chapter, Psalm 112, talks about what happens when we follow God. People who trust and respect God become strong, generous, brave, and steady—like a light shining in the dark. Isn't it awesome to understand that, even when our days are hard, God has our back? And that God blesses those who choose His ways?

Together, these two passages instruct us to look at who God is and then try to live like Him.

Heart

When we remember how good God is, it helps us respond to live in a totally different way. Have you ever felt scared or worried about something? Psalm 112 tells us that people who follow God don't have to be afraid, because He is beside them. Have you ever felt like you didn't have much to offer or wondered if your kindness mattered? These Psalms show us that even small acts of kindness and generosity shine God's light to others. When we choose to share, help, forgive, and do what's right—even when it's hard—we're living out what these Psalms teach: remembering who God is and reflecting Him through the way we live every day.

Hands

Let's pray and thank God for who He is!

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for being powerful, faithful, and full of love. Help me remember who You are and let that shape the way I live. Make me brave when things feel hard, kind when others need help, and steady when life feels confusing. Teach me to reflect Your goodness in everything I do. Amen.
