Head: Know God's Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God's Way
Read Luke 1-2
Head
In Luke 1 and 2, we read the amazing story of how Jesus, our Savior, was born. God sent an angel to tell Mary that she would be the mother of His Son, and she trusted God even though she didn’t understand everything (Luke 1:38). Later, the angel told some shepherds about Jesus’ birth, and they couldn’t wait to go see Him (Luke 2:15). This teaches us that God has a special plan for each of us, even if we don’t know all the details. We can trust God!
Heart
Jesus’ birth shows us just how much God loves us! He sent Jesus to show His love for the world. Mary and Joseph trusted God’s plan, even when it was difficult, and the shepherds were filled with joy when they saw Jesus. We can have that same joy, too! Jesus is God’s perfect gift. How can you show God’s love today? Maybe by being patient with someone or helping out with a task at home.
Hands
Following Jesus means showing love through our actions. The shepherds didn’t keep the good news to themselves—they shared it with others. Like them, we can spread God’s love by talking to others about Jesus - telling others about what Jesus did on the cross for you and for me. This week, look for opportunities to spread the Good News of what Jesus has done on the cross. Right now, reflect and remember the JOY and FREEDOM that are available today because of Jesus! Our savior lives!
Prayer: God, thank You for loving us so much. Help us to trust You, even when we don’t understand everything. Give us strength to spread Your name to others and to love others the way You love us. Help us encourage others to know You more. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
