Head: Know God's Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God's Way
Read 2 Corinthians 5:11-17.
Head
As God’s creation, we are all made unique with our own special characteristics and individual ways. Each of us is different on the outside whether it is by our skin color, our size, or our abilities, but altogether we are all members of the same family, the family of God. Although many people look at our outward appearances, God looks at our hearts. What matters most to Him is the inward beauty and the way we treat others, especially those who are different from us.
Heart
Do you notice friends who are different from you? Do you shy away from getting to know them because of those differences? How does it make you feel to know that in the family of God, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ?
Hands
How can you reach out to someone different from you and get to know what is in their heart? Talk to your family about what this might look like or feel like as you move from your comfort zone and begin to include others.
Prayer: Dear God, we are all made uniquely different one from another. Help us to grow in relationship with our brothers and sisters in the family of God. Prick our hearts when there is someone among us that needs to feel included and loved. Break down the walls that might keep us from being friends with others who are different. Amen.
