Read Psalms 47-48

Head

This verse reminds us that God is both our strength and our shield. Strength helps us keep going when things are hard, and a shield protects us from harm. The writer of this psalm, King David, trusted God to help him in difficult times. He knew that no matter what happened, God would take care of him.
Just like David, we can trust that God will give us strength when we feel weak and will protect us when we feel afraid.

Heart

Have you ever felt scared, tired, or like you couldn’t do something on your own? Maybe you were nervous about a test, a new school, or a big change in your life. This verse reminds us that we don’t have to face those things alone because God is always with us! When we trust God, He helps us, and that brings us joy. Instead of worrying, we can sing and praise Him, knowing that He is taking care of us.

Hands
  • Trust God: When you feel scared or weak, say a quick prayer and ask God to be your strength.
  • Encourage Someone: If you know someone who is struggling, remind them that God is their shield and strength.
  • Praise God: Sing a song of praise or write down things you’re thankful for to remind yourself of God’s goodness.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for being our strength when we are weak and our shield when we are afraid. Help us to trust You completely and find joy in knowing that You are always with us. Teach us to praise You in all things. Amen.
