Read John 17

HEAD

Have you ever had someone pray for you before a big test, game, or hard day? It feels good to know someone cares and is asking God to help you.

In John 17, Jesus prayed to God right before He was arrested. He prayed for His disciples and for everyone who would believe in Him one day—including us! Jesus asked God to help His followers stay close to Him and live in God’s truth.

HEART

Jesus prayed that His followers would be united, meaning they love and care for one another. He also prayed that they would know God’s truth and live in a way that shows God’s love to the world.

This shows us how much Jesus loves us. Even before we were born, Jesus was praying for people who would follow Him. God wants His people to work together, love each other, and help others see who He is.

HANDS

This week, practice living the way Jesus prayed for His followers to live.

 • Be kind and patient with your family and friends.

 • Tell someone about Jesus or invite them to church.

 • Pray for a friend or family member who needs help.

Ask yourself each day: Am I showing God’s love to the people around me?

Prayer: Lord, help us stay close to You and live by Your truth. Help us love others and work together as Your family. Show us how to share Your love with the people around us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
