Read John 16

HEAD

Have you ever felt nervous about doing something by yourself? Maybe it was your first day at school or trying something new. In John 16, Jesus told His disciples He was going to leave them, and that made them sad. But Jesus promised they would not be alone. He said God would send the Holy Spirit to be their Helper.

God gives us the Holy Spirit to help us follow Him.

HEART

Jesus said the Holy Spirit would teach us truth, remind us about Jesus, and guide us to do what is right. Even though we cannot see the Holy Spirit, God is always with us. When we feel unsure, scared, or confused, God helps us know what is right and reminds us that we belong to Him.

HANDS

This week, remember that God’s Helper is with you.

• When you don’t know what to do, ask God for help.

• When you see someone who is lonely, include them.

• When you make a mistake, tell the truth and say you’re sorry.

Ask yourself each day: Is the Holy Spirit helping me choose what is right?

Prayer: God, thank You for loving us and never leaving us alone. Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit to help us. Please forgive us when we make wrong choices. Help us listen to You and follow Your way every day. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
