Head: Know God's Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God's Way
Read Luke 7-8
Head
In Luke 7, a Roman officer asks Jesus to heal his servant. He trusts Jesus even though He’s far away. Jesus is amazed by his faith and heals the servant. Then in Luke 8, Jesus calms a storm on a boat, showing His power over nature. His disciples are amazed and say, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him!” (Luke 8:25). Jesus shows us He is all-powerful and can do anything!
Heart
When we trust Jesus, we believe that He can take care of us no matter what. That in every situation God is big enough to handle our circumstances and take care of us. The Roman officer trusted Jesus, and He performed a miracle. When we trust Jesus, He can do amazing things in our lives. How can you trust Jesus with your heart today? Maybe it’s asking Him to help you when you’re nervous or trusting Him when you face something difficult.
Hands
Trusting Jesus means showing we believe in Him by how we act. The Roman officer showed faith by believing Jesus could heal from far away. How can we trust Jesus with an unwavering faith? Set aside time to pray as a family this week and pray for faith like the Roman officer.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for showing Your power and love. Help us trust You with our hearts and show our faith through our actions. We give our hearts to You today. Remind us of Your faithfulness today. We love You, Jesus. In Jesus’ name - Amen.
