What if you worry more than you worship? What if you harbor resentment and anger toward that person who hurt you? What if you give in to that temptation even when you know better? Are God's promises really true for the broken, the flawed, and the sinful? As human beings, we tend to perceive God through a false lens of extreme justice or extreme redemption, but He is neither out to get us nor unaffected by our sin. As we dive into James chapter 4, we gain an understanding that God meets our humbled brokenness with grace, dignity, and His healing presence. He does not want our perfection. He wants our heart!
